Just to clarify, we say that the film Monsters vs. Aliens comes out “this weekend”, but we meant next weekend, March 27th. Bad Robot Producing a Heist Film?

Paramount has nabbed big screen rights to an upcoming Wired magazine article about a band of Italian diamond thieves. J.J. Abrams is producing through his Bad Robot company. Joshua Davis, who has turned a number of his Wired articles into feature projects, wrote the story for the April issue of the mag. More information about the movie after the jump.

The Watchmen viral appears to be officially over, as noted by the elimination of its page from our site. This is the first viral we’ve covered at MoveViral to end, so this is an important moment for us. Watchmen. Written by Alan Moore in 1985; heralded as one the best graphic novels of our time. A story so deep, so complex, so in-depth and so crazy, some said it couldn’t be filmed. Were they right? Is Watchmen TRULY ‘un-filmable’?

Missing Reel? Try Missing Film

Could the best form of viral be no viral at all? That could be the reason why a film such as The Poughkeepsie Tapes is getting known. The film was originally shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2007 and set for a release date of February of 2008. But it disappeared. Everything about this movie disappeared. Two known websites for the film (p-tapes.com and poughkeepsietapes.com) seemed to have up and vanished. The movies Myspace profile has been “cancelled by the user”.
