New Moon Trailer

I know what you’re thinking. Dan, why do you care about New Moon? Well, for one, the Twilight saga books were pretty good. The film fell below it’s potential, but with a bigger budget and new director, I’m hopeful. I also liked the actors who played the characters. So, there’s my defense. Check out the first official trailer from the film below, courtesy of MySpace.

MNU Really Wants You To Stay Away From Aliens

Both on our sister site District9news and our own forum, we mentioned over a week ago the billboard that showed up with the phone number to call if you see an aliens. When you call the number, it’s just an automated message where you can say whatever you want. The theory is that if you leave a message, they may use it in a future ad or something. If that’s true, it’s a good idea.

Drag Me To Hell Review: Best Horror Film In Years

Sam Raimi’s Drag Me To Hell is the best horror film I’ve seen in years, adding that campy but fun ride but also including the suspense and scares that will make the audience satisfied after the film is over. After going in with medium-high expectations, Drag Me To Hell gave me hope and relief that Hollywood can make good horror films since this decade has been a curse for the horror genre.

Up Review: Pixar Does It Again

*It should be noted that this review reveals some spoilers for the movie. Do not read if you haven’t seen the movie yet. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.*

Pixar’s latest film, Up, hits theaters today. Funny People includes a lot of characters that are either comedians or actos, and Jason Schwartzman plays an actor who has the lead in the fictional sitcom Yo Teach.

How to Ruin a Viral: Make It “Official”

What’s the best way to ruin a really cool viral campaign for a film? Slap the film’s logo on an in-world site. This Week In Viral: Terminator Viral Ends?

Terminator Salvation opened this weekend, and thus another viral ends. Or does it? One of the challenges of covering viral campaigns is knowing when they really end. Usually it’s the weekend, if not the day, the movie opens in theaters. However, even if the main viral campaign ends, tidbits of it may linger for months (see: Cloverfield), usually in anticipation of the DVD release or even a sequel. Also, the websites created for these campaigns seem to last far beyond the movie’s opening, so anything’s possible.
