Attention: Everyone who hasn’t read the comics. Please, shut the hell up. The comics and movies are one in the same. The comics are amazingly over-violent and, they wanted to translate it onto the screen. So far the movie and comic look almost identical to each other and yes, everything you see in the trailer, is in the comic, for the most part. Hit-Girl is extreme in the comic, she has to be, she’s a little girl against mob’s of angry men. Big Daddy does shoot her in the comic and all the cussing is still there. This movie simply won’t fail because it so far looks to be 100% faithful to the comics. I think Kick-Ass is going to be more successful than Watchmen. Watchmen, while amazingly faithful to the graphic novel, save the ending, still didn’t do great for the General Audience because it’s too deep for them. Where-as Kick-Ass is basically just a shoot ‘em up movie and the last I checked, the General Audience loved those.

yeah looks to me like the movie fails becuase they go too far and the real guys fail cause they dont go far enough

either way, if the real guys are cool with supporting this movie, theyre screwing themselves and there goals for the public because people are goin to think theyre nuts

Kris, this isn’t based on a true story. The Real Life Superheroes site has a similar concept to the movie in that they are both about regular people being superheroes. They just go about it in different ways.
