The Office: Kathy Bates Buys Dunder Mifflin

NBC’s The Office is probably one of the funniest shows on TV right now, which is sadly one of the last great things NBC has going for it. The Office is about a camera crew following and documenting the events that happen at the paper supply company Dunder Mifflin. Dunder Mifflin has many branches throughout the American Northeast with a branch in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the branch the show focuses on. This branch is run by Michael Scott who is played by Steve Carrell who can be funny, annoying and, serious all within the same scene. The Office is in the midst of it 6th season and for those who are unfamiliar with the show, Dunder Mifflin was just bought out, but by whom?

Viral Video: Intervention Intervention with Fred Armisan

Intervention is a hit show on A&E that profiles people whose dependence on drugs and alcohol or other compulsive behavior has brought them to rock bottom, so the family and an intervention specialist stage a surprise intervention. While the premise for the captivating show is serious, Funny or Die has found a way to mock it. While the video is a few months old, they just featured it on their YouTube channel this week. In the video, Fred Armisan (of SNL fame) needs an intervention for his addiction to the show Intervention. Take a look after the jump.

The Crazies: Two New TV Spots

If you haven’t seen them yet, there are a couple of new TV spots out there for The Crazies. Nothing we really haven’t seen before, however between the voice over and the text on the screen, it gives it more of that creepy vibe I’m hoping to get from the movie.

Sort of Funny MacGruber Viral Video

There is a mildly funny viral video floating around about the backstage antics happening on the MacGruber set. Honestly, I never even found the MacGruber skits on SNL to be all that funny, and this little short basically has nothing to with the movie what-so-ever, but why should my opinions stop me from letting my fellow viral nuts have a say? The movie comes out April 23rd and stars Will Forte.

Check out the video (along with a prop test video) after the jump.

LOST: The Opening 4 Minutes of Season 6

Lost

ABC’s LOST is premiering its 6th and final season on February 2nd, 2010 at 8/7c and after the amazing cliff hanger of season 5, LOST fans have taken to the Internet to speculate what is happening, discuss previous seasons and episodes, and to argue over what will happen in season six – trust me, I know.

LOST is the world famous TV show that even in its last season, is still a complete mystery to everyone. Season 5 blew the hatch wide open on this with the final episode and its last few scenes. I’ll avoid spoilers as much as humanly possible, but they got the world talking and waiting for what was going to happen next. The waiting seemed unbearable, and even the smallest news is considered a potential spoiler. LOST has a rather unique form of promoting the show, and their recent attempts are no different. ABC held a sweepstakes where a lucky 815 winners would win a message and key in a bottle, the key being a flash drive with a video, and a note that says “nothing’s irreversible”. You can watch the video after the jump….

And remember…Once you watch it, nothing’s irreversible.

Avatar’s Influence Continues: Did China Rename A Mountain For Avatar?

There seems to be no end to what Avatar can do. We already know that movies will have less limits thanks to the new technology that was invented for Avatar, the highest grossing original movie ( More and more films are already coming out in 3-D). But, now a whole country has fallen for the epic blockbuster. A mountain in China, formally known as “The Southern Sky Column” in Zhangjiajie, is now named “Avatar Hallelujah Mountain” because photographs of the mountain influenced Avatar and its beautiful imagery.

But China didn’t stop there either.
