The Crazies: Blogden Marsh

I just wanted to run a few quick updates by you in case you are keeping score.

A couple of posts have made their way onto the SaveOgdenMarsh blogspot. Why is this news? Well, for starters, there never were any posts on this blog before. Now, we have a couple from a new blogger from the little town in Iowa, by the name of Lauryn Holmes. And by the response of Kim, they are close.

LOST: Book Oceanic Flights and Are There Too Many Questions To Answer?

ABC’S LOST will be airing its 6th and final season this Tuesday and in the light of that, the show is on a massive advertisement campaign. Being no stranger to  viral campaigns , LOST even won an Emmy for Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media. The show has had websites like damoncarltonandapolarbear.com and didyouburyit.com adding to the overall experience and giving us probably some of the best fan-made art I’ve personally ever seen. Well, recently, we’ve been given more fan-created LOST content like the Real Time Oceanic 815 Crash, a travel site booking Oceanic 815 flights, and the parody song you can watch after the jump.

This Just In: A Generic News Report

Have you ever watched the news and noticed something…familiar about all those reports filed by correspondents? The same images, tone of voice, and even the structure? Charlie Brooker of BBC Four’s talkshow Newswire definitely notices the similarities. He filed this video report after the jump.

District 9 Action Figures and Statues Are Here!

District 9 fans have been waiting a while for something like this to be made, and wait no more: District 9 models are here (not the hot wife)! It’s been a while, but after going through home-made alien hands, miniature Exo-Suits, and an ARC gun, we’ve finally got ourselves a detailed statue of a prawn head.

Joe Dunaway is the artist behind this detailed work. He’s made over 230 albums for multiple movies and has now taken a whack at District 9.

AC/DC is one of the most iconic hard rock bands of all time and Marvel Studio’s Iron Man is one of the most successful comic book films, so why not mix the two? In Iron Man we were given “Iron Man” by yet another iconic band, Black Sabbath, and the fans completely loved it – some even going as far as saying it couldn’t be topped by any other band.

Yahoo‘s blog Hip-Hop Media Training has a new article by Billy Johnson, Jr. about one of Michael Jackson’s former choreographers (Travis Payne) teaching 1,500 Filipino high security prison inmates (in 2 hours mind you!) a routine of “They Don’t Really Care About Us” from Jackson’s planned This Is It tour (and eventual movie). Cameron Is Number One….Again! This Time With A Little Film Called Avatar

It’s official! James Cameron has done it again. Avatar has become the #1 Grossing Movie Of All Time!

There must be a great atmosphere in the Cameron household just now since the only thing standing between Avatar and the #1 spot was his last film, Titanic. Both films have beaten classics such as the Lord Of The Rings: The Return of the King, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and more recently The Dark Knight. One of the things that seems to have helped Avatar (just like it did for Titanic) is repeat viewings of the movie, with many people going to see the film several times to get lost in the world of Pandora.

CBS Wants To Give You $5,000 For Your Horatio Impression!

CBS’s hit show CSI has spawned off two spin-offs so far. If there is one thing that we can say the network’s CSI: Miami has left behind as an enternal legacy, it’s the extremely cheesy openers featuring Horatio Caine (played meticiously by David Caruso). Why are they so memorable? Well, I could tell you, or I could show you a massive montage after the jump to really drive the point home.
