You would think that a title like that would proclaim my love for new footage and excitement, and how bootlegged footage like the one from Thor, or the phony tracks from Tron: Legacy should have no place in this world. One can also look at that statement to remove the footage you are about to see, as well as the film that goes along with it. I’m sorry, but when the Weinsteins’ decided to remove Piranha 3D from the Comic-Con halls, they should have removed it from the sight off all that go see it.

One of the things that made me laugh (a lot) were the comments about the viral campaign for Sherlock Holmes, and the fact that the internet did not exist back then, and the fact that they used the internet to promote the viral. We all know that Sherlock Holmes’ was a little more involved than strictly internet and social networking, being that it involved mailings covered with old English detail, although be it minor detail. San Diego Comic-Con 2010 has already came and went. Many movie studios and TV networks brought all their goodies to the event this year in hopes of gaining positive buzz from the most important people to their franchises, the fans themselves. Warner Brothers, Marvel, AMC and many other places all showed footage from their biggest movies and TV shows, generally getting great response. The question is, does it really matter?

Probably the most satisfying footage of any movie revealed at Comic-Con had to be for Thor (outside of the free screenings of Scott Pilgrim). It showed a lot more than I thought it would and really made me more confident in the film’s potential. Now it looks like the (non-bootleg) trailer has hit the web, so hold on to your butts (or your hammers) and take a look after the break.

San Diego Comic-Con is usually the make or break place for studios to unveil their newest projects. Marvel, Warner Brothers, and many other studios and networks all use Comic-Con as a place to (hopefully) gain a lot of positive buzz for the movie or TV show that they’re selling. NBC’s The Event is no different. NBC decided to bring the so far and pretty mysterious show to Comic-Con this year which turned out to be a massive success for the network. With comparisons to ABC’s LOST and FOX’s 24, The Event is claimed to be a sci-fi show with mystery and romance elements all wrapped into one.
