Following a brief stint at Comic-Con, the Rocket Poppeteers are at it again, this time updating their website and accepting new applications. The website also hints at game (I assume) they’ll release soon, with the home page reading “FLY THE ROCKET SSF1 – COMING SOON“. See some screenshots and more after the break.

One of the things that surprised me upon my first trip to Comic-Con was the lax security. Sure, they are pretty good about making sure you don’t go anywhere you’re not supposed to, but you can bring almost ANYTHING onto the convention floor or into panels. The question is, if you really wanted to sneak into Comic-Con, could you? Based on the video evidence below, it’s definitely possible.

The latest in TomTom’s clever viral videos promoting their new line of Star Wars voices for GPS devices has hit the web. This time, it is Master Yoda himself who went into the studio to record his lines. Like Darth Vader before him, the process was less than smooth, but fortunately caught on video. Check out what went down after the jump.
The soundtrack for Tron Legacy is almost as anticipated as the film itself, thanks to the fact that it’s being produced by Daft Punk. While we can’t show you the special Comic-Con footage screened for the film, we have found a few of the tracks from the soundtrack, thanks to GeekTyrant. Take a listen below.
One of the panels I was sad to miss at Comic-Con this year was Entertainment Weekly’s “The Visionaries” featuring J.J. Abrams and Joss Whedon. The discussion briefly turned to Abrams’ newest project Super 8, including when shooting starts. QR barcodes are all the rage now, as they are simple and easy ways to distributed coded information, especially since smart phones can usually download reading apps. ARG designers used these for several purposes during Comic-Con this year, including for the 2nd Mass viral. One of the things given away at Comic-Con had such a QR code, which when scanned revealed a website with behind the scenes footage and special message for Comic-Con goers from the upcoming film I Am Number Four. Those of us that don’t quite live under a rock are aware of what’s going on at Comic-Con this year. Marvel stole the show by screening Captain America and Thor footage and even having the full cast of The Avengers present during their panel. Now with keeping up with SDCC I happened to stumble upon an image that caused quite the ruckus online: a replica of the Infinity Gauntlet. See the image of that and the Captain America shield below and what they might mean.
