Contest: Win Roxio Creator 11 and Two AMC Tickets to “TRON: Legacy”!

by Dan Koelsch

So, you want to see TRON: Legacy when it opens on December 17th, but don’t want to spend empty your wallet in the process. What’s a fanboy to do? Fortunately, we have an answer thanks to Roxio. Hit the jump for details on how to enter our contest that will not only give you two free tickets, but also some great software for free.

TRON: Legacy is THE 3D event of the year, though it is part of a growing trend in Hollywood. It’s saturated our culture to the point where consumer items now allow you to either watch or even create in 3D. Roxio Creator 2011 is a software that gives you the tools to make 3D images and video, whether you have 3D recording equipment or not. So, Roxio is giving you 3D lovers a chance to get two AMC tickets (which you will of course want to use for TRON) and Roxio Creator 2011, all for free.*

Complete this list to enter:
– Follow Roxio on Twitter (@RoxioProducts) and tweet at least 2 posts using the hashtag: #RoxioTron
– Like Roxio on Facebook
– Sign up for the Roxio’s Newsletter Roxio’s Newsletter (bottom right corner)
– Post a comment below with your full name letting us know that you completed all the tasks and telling us how you would use the software.

The contest ends on December 9th at midnight (PST). We’ll randomly pick a winner and announce it on December 10th.

The next great 3D movie doesn’t have to feature Avatars, talking toys, or even mad hatters, it could star your favorite memories with friends and family! Roxio Creator 2011, the first 3D media suite, supports all the latest 3D-enabled gear – cameras, systems, TVs, glasses etc. Use it to import 3D photos and videos directly from a 3D camera and then create personalized 3D productions complete with transitions, titles, effects, and a sound track. Output to view the results on a PC, 3D-enabled HDTV, or even post and share your creations via YouTube. Not to worry if you’ve yet to equip yourself with 3D goodies, Creator also lets you convert your existing standard 2D photos and videos into immersive 3D content. While Creator makes it easy for enthusiasts and beginners to immediately add a dynamic new dimension to family memories, it’s not all the program does. The original tool for burning CDs and DVDs has come a long way in recent years adding a plethora of features for doing just about anything imaginable with your personal libraries of photos, videos and music. *The free AMC tickets are for regular admission. IMAX and 3D may require additional charges.

UPDATE:

Congratulations to our winner Alex Federman! Alex is a film student at Penn State and plans to use Roxio to help him fulfill his creative and professional potential.
