TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. This week we have trailers for Thor: The Dark World, The Bling Ring, The Wolverine, Monsters University, and Prince Avalanche. Hit the jump to see them all.

Thor: The Dark World
Iron Man 3 opens in theaters next Friday, but before the film starts, you may see a trailer for Thor: The Dark World. Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman return to reprise their respective roles as Thor and Jane Foster. A new cold unstoppable threat arrives on Midgard, but when Jane is put in danger, Thor is forced to go to the one person he thought he would never go to: Loki. Thor The Dark World opens in theaters on November 8.

The Wolverine
The latest trailer for The Wolverine to appear on Trailers Weekly has some international flair to it. Hugh Jackman returns to the role that raised his stock. Set in Japan, Logan heads out to Japan a broken warrior and an outisder. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.

The Bling Ring
Emma Watson wants everyone to know that she can do more than play as Hermione Granger. She stars alongside Katie Chang, Claire Julien, Taissa Farmiga, Georgia Rock and Leslie Mann in Sofia Coppola’s The Bling Ring. The film is based on a true story of a group of young teenagers who break into celebrate homes and steal their belongings. They are thrust into the spotlight and forced to take a hard look at what their lives are when the law catches up to them. The film opens in theaters June 14.

Monsters University
Let the scare games begin. Mike and Sulley are back, but not to make laughs, instead Monsters University is taking us back to where the two earned their degrees as scarers. John Goodman and Bill Crystal return to voice the roles that made Monsters Inc. Monsters University opens in theaters on June 21.

Ratchet & Clank
Insomniac Games announced earlier this week that they would be releasing a video game adaptation of their hit franchise Ratchet & Clank. The announcement came in a form of a trailer. Not only that, the film will be hitting theaters in 2015. Here’s the synopsis from the press release.

“Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes as they struggle to stop a vile alien named Chairman Drek from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. Ratchet is the last of his kind – a foolhardy ‘lombax’ who has grown up alone on a backwater planet with no family of his own. Clank is a pint-sized robot with more brains than brawn. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colorful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. Along the way they’ll learn about heroism, friendship, and the importance of discovering one’s own identity. ”
