TrailersWeekly

Trailers Weekly is a feature in which we bring you the most popular and talked about trailers of the week. Sharing trailers is a classic viral practice, and trailers are still the most mainstream way for people to learn about movies. We’ve got trailers from Transcendence, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Grand Budapest Hotel, Ride Along, The Expendables 3, and 22 Jump Street. Hit the jump to see them all.

Transcendence
After being exposed to three ominous viral trailers this past week, the first full trailer from Wall Pfister‘s directorial debut. In the film Dr. Will Caster (Johnny Depp) is the world’s foremost authority when it comes to artificial intelligence. He suggests that he can create a sentient machine that combines the collective intelligence of everything ever known with the full range of human emotions. But an assassination attempt from a anti-technology group results inadvertently pushes Caster’s colleagues to upload his brain patterns into a super computer. As a result Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. Morgan Freeman, Rebecca Hall, Kate Mara, Cillian Murphy, Cole Hauser and Paul Bettany also star. Warner Bros will be releasing Transcendence in theaters starting on April 18th.

Ride Along
In an attempt to get on his soon to be brother-in-law’s good side, a smooth talking groom (Kevin Hart) goes on a ride along with his fiance’s short fused cop (Ice Cube). But what was suppose to be an easy assignment quickly goes south when wild night leads them to the most notorious criminal in the city. John Leguizamo also stars. Directed by Tim Story (Think Like a Man, Fantastic Four) and written by Greg Coolidge (Employee of the Month), Ride Along opens in theaters on January 17.

The Expendables 3
There isn’t much to this trailer, it is a teaser after all. But when you are able to bring some of the greatest action heroes of our generation, minus Bruce Willis and Steven Segal, you get another pretty exciting explosive action flick. The Expendables 3 stars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and more, along with new faces like Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammer, Wesley Snipes and Mel Gibson. The film opens in theaters on August 15, 2014.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes
Four years have past since the events of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Humanity is hanging by a thread thanks to the virus, Caeser’s killer apes, and the infighting. But a power struggle within Caesar’s faction may be just just the thing that could help the humans in their fight against the apes. Andy Serkis reprises his role as Caesar, using his signature motion capture work. He is joined by Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, Keri Russell, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Gary Oldman. Matt Reeves takes over the director’s chair, replacing Rupert Wyatt, using a script written by Mark Bomback, Scott Z. Burns, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. 20th Century Fox has Dawn of the Planet of the Apes scheduled for 3D release on July 11th, 2014.

22 Jump Street
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill are back in the sequel to the reboot that no one gave a shit about. This time they are headed to college to find out who is funnelling drugs. Of course, the film will feature just how out of touch the two are with the times, and the hilarious violence that can be inflicted on Hill.
