How The Iron Man 2 Photos Are Connected

Recently, the first image of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash/Backlash/Crimsonson Dynamo (I heard it’s a mix of all three). After a mountain dew fueled journey through the mind via the music of The Allman brothers, I noticed something. The two photos are connected.

Take a look at the first image.

Look, at his computer screen, and the expression on Stark’s face. He is obviously pissed off. Now back to the screen, the pattern on it looks strangely similar to the Monaco Grand Prix (Stark is too high class for Talladega).

f

Yep, that’s definitely the Monaco Grand Prix.

Finally, lets have a look at the latest image.

He’s definitely at the Monaco Grand Prix. He seems to be wearing a track official’s uniform (As you can see another person with the exact same clothing in the background wearing a helmet) So this is apparently the ‘unveiling’ scene.

Is this just a coincidence, or some very smart semi-viral? Discuss.

Review: The Hangover

After seeing the trailer for this a few months ago, I was eagerly anticipating this flick. Once I actually saw it though, I was disappointed. It was consistently funny, but there were no “OMG ROTFLMAO” moments.  The main problem with this movie consists of the marketing team giving away the best jokes in the movie during the trailer. The only thing that actually surprised me, was Mike Epps, who with little screen time is around the 3rd funniest charecter in the film (The other two being Mike Tyson and Mr. Chow).

Has The Dark Knight’s ARG Set The Bar Too High?

Way back in 2007, the campaign for The Dark Knight launched, making participants run across San Diego to just see the logo of the film and hear some dialogue. This viral did what no recent viral has done (I’m looking at you D-9 Sony): it got people involved. It is common place for most films to have some sort of viral activity, whether it be a full on game or not, but if a studio chooses to do the former, at least try to make it fun.

Bruno, Another Comedy With Viral?

NOTE: Yes, I know it’s old, but I felt the need to point it out in light of last night’s appearance on the MTV Movie Awards.

The official “meinspace” page for Bruno has launched, and what can I say? It’s very funny.  From the German disco music, to every Matthew McConaughey movie being in his favorite films list, it’s all just very funny.  They did a good job with this, unlike a certain viral that was launched a few days ago(Funny People). I dont have too much to say about it except that I think ‘Bruno’ will be better or on par with Borat. You can check the site right here: http://meinspace.com/bruno.
