After some truly astonishingly weird Carl’s Jr. ads, and an wonderful viral marketing campaign, Fox has released one final trailer for X-Men: Days Of Future Past. And it is a pretty exciting trailer, especially since the last few felt lackluster.

You know the story, the war between mutants and humans has reached the breaking point. So to save humanity, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is sent into the past to remind a younger Professor X (James McAvoy) of his purpose in life. There will be humans fighting mutants, mutants fighting Sentinels, and much more. Hit the jump to see the full trailer. [Read more...]

Emphasis on the mysterious.

The Weinstein Company has released the first trailer for The Giver, Philip Noyce‘s adaptation of the Lois Lowry novel of the same name. Though it may be just another dystopian YA novel, it touts a powerful cast that consists of Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep, and introduces new stars like Brenton Thwaites. While film adaptations of dystopian YA novels have been popping up in recent years, none of them would be even possible if The Giver laid down the foundation, because the novel was one of the first to explore that realm, and give young readers a reason to dive into a good book.
