In Universal’s latest picture The Boy Next Door, the boy in question is played by Ryan Guzman while John Corbett plays the straying husband to Jennifer Lopez. The two actors talked to press about their experience working on the Blumhouse thriller and some of the fun moments on set and trying moments that involved almost getting frostbite. The fun of course being the action car scenes from director Rob Cohen because of course.

Michael Mann’s Blackhat couldn’t have come out at a more perfect time. The cyber-crime thriller sees Chris Hemsworth as a convicted hacker who will have is sentence commuted if he helps the FBI successfully stop a cyber-terrorist who has been hacking into nuclear facilities and stock exchanges.

Cary Elwes Talks About “The Princess Bride” at Dragon Con 2014

I was lucky enough to be able to attend the press interview with Cary Elwes this year at Dragon Con. He was there to talk about his new book, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride. During the interview, he told a few interesting tidbits about Billy Crystal, Andre the Giant and director by Rob Reiner and he talked about how they laughed every single day making the film. Comedy sequels are hard to do, especially when there is a 20 year gap in between films. But for Dumb and Dumber To stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, they found reprising their roles for a sequel not that difficult. In the film, Harry (Daniels) believes that he is the father, and goes out on a search to find the daughter he never knew he had. Joining him is his loyal pal, Llyod (Carrey). Together they will go across the country, get themselves into trouble, and try to out prank each other.

Christopher Nolan is no ordinary filmmaker.  His ability to make films like The Prestige, Inception, and The Dark Knight Trilogy bigger and bolder, and other large scale titles continue to wow audiences, and Interstellar will be no different.  Though I have already shared my thoughts on the film, the one thing everyone can agree on is that the film is visually jaw dropping.  Then watching it in 70mm makes it even more awe-inspiring.  So much so you actually would think that the space travel seen, the worlds the film explores, and other set pieces are real.

During the Interstellar press conference, film director Christopher Nolan, co-writer Jonathan Nolan, and producer Emma Thomas talked about creating a family drama in a sci-fi film, the months of research that went into building the science of the film, the collaborative process within the family, working with the cast of the film, if there is life on other planets, and more.  Hit the jump to check it out. Interstellar is just one of those films that will have people questioning why is the NASA space program suspended.  Space exploration is beating heart of the visuals in the film, not only does it make out space travel look magnificent, but it also will increase our curiosity as to what is out there waiting for us, and what is on the other side of the universe.  Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway both play astronauts who are sent off to explore the other side of a worm hole to find a new inhabitable earth for humans to live on, while Jessica Chastain plays McConaughey’s daughter, who is tasked with overseeing the mission.

The cast talked about their experiences on the set, what it was like to wear a spacesuit, how the relationships of a parent being separated from their child mirrors their own relationship with their children, strong female characters in science fiction, and the rehearsal process.  Hit the jump to check it out.
