I was lucky enough to be able to attend the press interview with Cary Elwes this year at Dragon Con. He was there to talk about his new book, As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride. During the interview, he told a few interesting tidbits about Billy Crystal, Andre the Giant and director by Rob Reiner and he talked about how they laughed every single day making the film. Comedy sequels are hard to do, especially when there is a 20 year gap in between films. But for Dumb and Dumber To stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, they found reprising their roles for a sequel not that difficult. In the film, Harry (Daniels) believes that he is the father, and goes out on a search to find the daughter he never knew he had. Joining him is his loyal pal, Llyod (Carrey). Together they will go across the country, get themselves into trouble, and try to out prank each other.

Christopher Nolan is no ordinary filmmaker. His ability to make films like The Prestige, Inception, and The Dark Knight Trilogy bigger and bolder, and other large scale titles continue to wow audiences, and Interstellar will be no different. Though I have already shared my thoughts on the film, the one thing everyone can agree on is that the film is visually jaw dropping. Then watching it in 70mm makes it even more awe-inspiring. So much so you actually would think that the space travel seen, the worlds the film explores, and other set pieces are real.

In Disney’s Big Hero 6, Damon Wayans Jr. and T.J. Miller play almost complete opposites on the hero team. Wayans is the timid Wasabi and Miller is Fred the spirit animal of every enthusiastic fan boy and girl out there. Interstellar is just one of those films that will have people questioning why is the NASA space program suspended. Space exploration is beating heart of the visuals in the film, not only does it make out space travel look magnificent, but it also will increase our curiosity as to what is out there waiting for us, and what is on the other side of the universe. Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway both play astronauts who are sent off to explore the other side of a worm hole to find a new inhabitable earth for humans to live on, while Jessica Chastain plays McConaughey’s daughter, who is tasked with overseeing the mission.
The cast talked about their experiences on the set, what it was like to wear a spacesuit, how the relationships of a parent being separated from their child mirrors their own relationship with their children, strong female characters in science fiction, and the rehearsal process. Dracula Untold tells the often unheard story of the character’s origins. In the film Luke Evans plays Vlad The Impaler, a loyal prince to a small kingdom and family man , who will sacrifice his humanity to gain the dark powers he needs to save everything that he holds dear. The film is said to be the launching pad of the rumored monsters universe that Universal Pictures is creating. So it should be interesting to see if audiences respond well to the origins story.

Justin Long Talks Tusk, Working With Kevin Smith Again, Wearing A Walrus Suit, Michael Parks, And More
Tusk is the first film in Kevin Smith‘s quasi-trilogy, True North Trilogy. The film follows Wallace (Justin Long), a podcaster who drives up to the backwoods of Canada to interview a Howard, a man who wants to tell his stories to someone. Little does Wallace know, Howard is a psychotic man who kidnaps his victims, then turn them into his favorite animal, the walrus.
