“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part I” Trailer To Debut At Comic-Con On A Galaxy S Tablet And Best Buy Stores

Okay, so Lionsgate may not be promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 or Insurgent in Hall H at the San Diego Comic-Con this year. Yes it is disappointing to fans, especially since the former debuts in November, while the latter debuts early next year. While we have yet to see any footage from the film, Lionsgate has found a unique way to market the film’s highly anticipated first trailer. You won’t have to sit for hours waiting for it or in between panels you rather not sit through, instead you can just walk on over to the Samsung Galaxy Experience over at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego on Friday, July 25th, and experience seeing the trailer, with the cast (TBA) for yourself on Galaxy Tab S.

Yup the trailer premiere for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be on a tablet. Not a big screen or any other screen other than 8.5 inches, but on a tablet. And if you are worried about not being able to see it because your not going to Comic-Con this year, then don’t fret, because you will be able to see a preview at your local Best Buy. “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1″ Viral Video: District 13 Has A Message For Panem

It was only a couple of weeks back when Lionsgate launched the revamped viral marketing campaign for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. Tailored to fit the themes of the third book, the first wave of Mockingjay viral videos came in the form of President Snow (Donald Sutherland) addressing the nation as a unified force in a time where Katniss’ actions have started uprisings and revolutions in nearly all of the districts of Panem. The video also contained some minor spoilers, but it did set a precedent for not only the film, but for the marketing campaign itself.

Now a new video has been released, which shows President Snow once again addressing the nation, trying to unite them during trying times. The series of novels closed with the titular character and friends having aged, matured, and watching a new generation learning different forms of magic and wizardary. Now with his own family to take care of, the once wizarding boy of Hogwarts is off on a new adventure.

J.K. Rowling has added new content to the Pottermore site, which finds Potter, now at age 34, attending the Quiddich World Cup at the Patagonian Desert. But he isn’t alone. “Gone Girl” Trailer: Ben Affleck And David Fincher’s Drama Has Chills Running Down Your Spine

The second trailer David Fincher‘s adaptation of Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, as gone online. Based on the Gillian Flynn – she also wrote the screenplay – novel of the same name, Gone Girl is a story that reads like it has been ripped from the headlines. A seemingly perfect married couple caught in a murder mystery, where a husband desperately searches for the truth on who killed his wife, while the entire world looks at him as an apathetic suspect.

The release of the trailer follows four posters of sealed bags of evidence releases announcing that a new trailer was being released today.

“Gone Girl” Viral Marketing Campaign Has Evidence Of A New Trailer

David Fincher has embraced the way films films are virally markerted, and as such each and every one of his films are promoted in unique and ingenious ways. The Social Network‘s marketing resembled Facebook’s website, while The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo had a razor sharp dark tone. Now the viral marketing for his upcoming film adaptation of Gone Girl has been ramped up. Following the film’s viral website and phone number that recited the first few pages of the novel of the same name, comes evidence of a new trailer. Literally, it’s evidence of a new trailer. “Reading Rainbow” Kickstarter Ends Campaign With $5.4 Million

Briefly: LaVar Burton‘s Reading Rainbow may have reached it’s $1 million goal in a day, but fans would keep backing the project for days and weeks until it reached its $5 million goal. And now that the 35-day campaign has come to an end, it’s time to count how backers donated to the project. We recently reported that Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane promised to match every dollar donated to the campaign when it reached $4 million. That must given the campaign the extra push it needed to reach the $5 million goal, plus approximately $400K of interest.

Mashable is reporting that the Reading Rainbow Kickstarter’s final numbers are $5.4 million. You can add another million that will be donated by MacFarline as promised, which would make it a grand total of $6.4 million. The campaign first started back on May 28, and as aforementioned, the project reached its $1 million target in a day. Then it reached $2 million on day two.

Listen To The Entire “Guardians Of The Galaxy” Soundtrack Now

Normally movie score titles would ruin critical plot points, and as such, many fans anticipating said film would avoid even looking at what the a soundtrack contains. However when a soundtrack is comprised of songs, it is a little bit different. Sure they may not be a spoilerly as a score title, but song titles can set the tone for certain aspects of the film, and as such, fans would probably want to avoid them too. But what makes James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy a little bit different is that the soundtrack is completely comprised of an awesome mix of music from different generations.

As seen in the header image above, the soundtrack for Guardians of the Galaxy is appropriately titled Awesome Mix Vol. 1. While the Vol. 1 may just be there for looks, the mix itself is indeed Awesome, and since it consists of music that has already been released, the entire playlist has already been uploaded on Spotify, which means it is now available for you to listen to. We should all be excited about The Purge: Anarchy for a variety of reasons. One its a sequel to the low budget horror film that grossed $89 million on a $3 million budget. The other, is the fact that there is a nationwide Purge Breakout Fan Experience being carried out. No one could have seen the success of The Purge coming, and it will be exciting to see how Universal continues to market the franchise from here on out. To avoid some of the pitfalls of retreading the same story with the same family, The Purge: Anarchy goes a different route, by focusing on the low income families, those who accidentally get caught in the Purge, and those who are looking for vengeance.
