‘Better Call Saul’ Fans Can Snack On Sweet Deal From Cinnabon

Better Call Saul

In the Breaking Bad episode “Granite Slate,” Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) predicted his own fate of managing a Cinnabon somewhere in Nebraska after the collapse of Walter White’s meth empire. The series premiere of Better Call Saul opened with the titular character changing his name from Saul to Gene, and managing a Cinnabon in Omaha, Nebraska. “I just wrote that scene and it sounded funny, but it never occurred to me in a million years that we’d actually show what we show at the beginning of episode 1,” says Bad writer and Saul co-creator Peter Gould.

Cinnabon spokeswoman Loryn Franc was just as shocked as everyone else to hear the once slick lawyer make such a specific prediction.

Now, hours after the series aired its pilot episode, and moves to its regular time slot Mondays at 10pm, Cinnabon is offering a sweet deal to its customers by giving away one free minibon. And there is a lot more to it than just free food. Hit the jump for more. [Read more…]

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Chracter Names Revealed On Trading Cards

Normally we’d learn about characters through the source material, a plot synopsis, or straight from the cast or crew. But given that everyone is so tight-lipped about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, trying to get information like names of the characters is next to impossible. We already know that the film is canon, and will see the return of Luke, Leia, Han, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, and more iconic starships. Plus the Sith. But since the trailer dropped a few weeks back, we don’t know who John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, or Oscar Issac is playing. We also don’t now who the Sith with the broadsword is – maybe it is Adam Driver. And we cannot just keep calling the rolling droid a soccer ball.

Now in a very cool move, EW has revealed the names of the characters seen in the trailer on trading cards. Okay, they aren’t actually trading cards, however, these images resemble the trading cards of yesteryear, and even us the Star Wars designs. Hit the jump to see them all. [Read more…]
