You just have to answer some questions and ignore the condescending robotic concierge. Unfortunately, it looks rigged to reject most if not all applicants (see my result above). We already have a few viral websites at the moment, with ItsBetterUpHere.com and Armadyne.net, but now Sony has expanded the online world to include the Civil Cooperation Bureau. Since we have been covering the film’s on-and-off viral campaign, we thought you’d like to see the first poster and first trailer for Elysium, which debuted yesterday and today, respectively. Check them out after the break.
Elysium is an upcoming sci-fi action film from writer/director Neill Blomkamp. In the future, the rich live on a luxurious space station that orbits the desolate Earth, but one man (Matt Damon) has to find a way up there to get the medicine he needs. We’ve seen the film’s studio Sony start up some viral marketing in the past, but nothing has stuck. Now it looks like they are back at it again, but this time with a real treat for fans. Now that 2013 has begun, it’s time to look at the huge line-up of films coming our way over the next 12 months. When going through the wide releases, two things really stood out to me. One: There are a lot of movies coming out this year that I am interested in seeing theaters. I counted at least 30. Second: We know very little about some of films being released late in the year. In fact, some films don’t have a release date yet, and others that do might be pushed back to next year. So, with what knowledge we have now, I present you with my 13 most anticipated films of 2013.

As of yesterday morning, there were only two viral campaigns on the horizon for 2013, Elysium and RoboCop, and both are being released by Sony’s Columbia Pictures. However, yesterday afternoon Sony announced new dates for the two films, as well as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. Details after the break.
