David Fincher’s “The Social Network” Gets an Interactive Trailer, Breaks Down Facebook

Interactive trailers are becoming more popular lately, and its probably due to the fact you can cramp a lot of interesting stuff into the same package as a regular online trailer. Movies like Scott Pilgrim and Avatar have plenty to fill that space with, usually behind the scenes footage are information on the world that’s being presented. The interactive trailer for The Social Network, about the rise of Facebook and co-creator Mark Zuckerberg, is no exception, giving facts about the famous website. Watch it after the break.

We’ve covered a few interactive trailers here at MovieViral, and I find them to be really impressive when done right. They are like the Blu-Ray version of trailers, as they let you get into the movie and sometimes learn more about the plot and characters. Scott Pilgrim vs. The World joins the fray as Yahoo! Movies debuts a video game-inspired interactive trailer, which you can see below.

Knight and Day Interactive Trailer Lets You Help Tom Cruise Fight Bad Guys

I’ve been a little harsh on Tom Cruise lately. Well, technically I’ve been hard on his new film, Knight and Day, for its attempts at making viral videos. However, I do have to say that the film looks fantastic, and we’re just now starting to hear reviews that match that prediction. Fox continues their huge Avatar push with a new ‘interactive trailer’, which allows you to jump from the trailer to the featurette during important points.
