Mad Men Parodies: Emmy Commercials and Don Draper’s College Orientation

This seems to be the Summer of Mad Men, as the show is popping up everywhere. The Emmys are coming up this Sunday, and late night talk show host (and former laugher during SNL skits) Jimmy Fallon is hosting. To promote the television award show, NBC has two commercials with Fallon playing the role of Don Draper, finding out he’s hosting the show. Mad Men Yourself With JibJab and Dress Up Game

JibJab has become well known for their animated videos that usually parody current events. In the past few years, the entertainment site has also offered ways for you to enter the videos with photos thanks to cutouts. In their latest offering, you and your friends can become characters in the AMC show Mad Men. AMC’s Mad Men and Breaking Bad Characters Have Twitters!

AMC  (American Movie Channel) has become a powerhouse of a TV channel with their award winning shows Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Both critically acclaimed and arguably some of the best shows on TV not only now, but in a long time and with their extensive fan bases, it’s no surprise AMC reached out through Twitter to keep in touch with the fans; giving them some extra fun (and canon) tidbits about the shows. The twitters themselves are the characters of Breaking Bad and Mad Men tweeting to each other and to the fans. I understand the characters from Breaking Bad having Twitter accounts, but Mad Men is set in an age before the internet. I don’t mind the silliness.
