“Super 8″ Deleted Scene Features Rocket Poppeteers

We know that the Rocket Poppeteers side of the Super 8 viral campaign has a sponsoring tie-in with 7-Eleven. What we didn’t know is that the partnership originally made its way into the film itself. After the break, check out a deleted scene from Super 8 that has the kids going into a 7-Eleven early in the film. You’ll see a cardboard cutout of Rocket Poppeteers spokesman Captain Cooper and a sign on the wall featuring the ice cream treat.

“Fringe” Season Finale Offers “Super 8″ Easter Egg

For those unfamiliar with the viral campaign for J.J. Abrams’ Super 8, Rocket Poppeteers are this campaign’s Slusho!, a fake brand of treats that probably has little to do with the actual film. Now the online store for the spaceship-shaped popsicles has been found, and a special preview could give us clues to the ARG. Details after the break.

Rocket Poppeteers Sends Out ‘Fleet Assessment #1′

The Super 8 ‘Rocket Poppeteers’ viral has been silent for a while. Before the site went down for renovations last month, those who signed up for the Astronaut Training Program were sent certificates showing that they had been accepted into the program. Super 8 Updates: More Trailer Photos and E-mailed Certificates

Last week we told you that the online version of the Super 8 trailer was being updated regularly (more or less daily) with new images hidden in the final shot of the Super 8 camera lens.
