“The Muppets” Feel The Hunger in “The Hunger Games” Parody Trailer

The Muppets had an amazing marketing run and it seemingly came to an end when the movie opened in theaters in November. But its not over. Not by a long shot. With the DVD/Blu-ray being released on March 20th, the marketing team at Walt Disney Pictures are at it again. This time the trailer pokes fun at The Hunger Games, which is also hitting theaters that same week. The trailer does feature some scenes that didn’t make the final cut, but doesn’t offer anything else about the DVD. Fox News Attacked At The UK Muppets Premiere, And It Isn’t By Anonymous

Step aside Anonymous, because The Muppets have Fox News in their crosshair.

In a press conference for the London premiere of The Muppets, one corespondent asked for comment on Fox News‘s accusation that the film pushes a ‘dangerous liberal agenda’ on children. Uh-oh.

Trailers Weekly: Michael’s Top 10 Trailers of 2011

This edition of Trailers Weekly won’t feature any new trailers today. For one thing there were no new trailers debuting this week, and the other thing is because its the new years. If you’re an avid movieviral reader, you know we pick the best and most talked about trailers its debut week. Throughout the year, we’ve had green band, red band, and even NC-17 green band (yeah that’s new to me too), and we’ve seen many amazing trailers, but have also watched ones that made us wish we could have two and a half minutes of our life back. Writing this weekly feature for almost a year, I found that these are my top ten best trailers of 2011. This is a very subjective list, and I am not saying this top ten means its above all top ten best lists. “The Muppets” Marketing Was Hilarious, Interactive, and Lots of Fun

Movie Review: The Muppets

I love the Muppets. I thought I should get that out of the way. The original The Muppet Movie is one of my favorite movies of all time, and by watching it again a few years ago, I gained a new appreciation for the Muppet universe as an adult. After some time away from the limelight, the Muppets are back in a new movie, appropriately titled The Muppets, that opens in theaters on Wednesday. Does it live up to the original? Preview “The Muppets” Soundtrack On YouTube and iTunes App Game

The Muppets opens in theaters next Wednesday, and the soundtrack is released two days before (on Monday), but you have two ways to preview the music from the movie right now. Tap Tap Muppets, the latest title in the Guitar Hero-like mobile game series, is available on the iTunes App Store. This free game features six full versions of the songs from the soundtrack. The Muppets Parody Box Office Rival “Breaking Dawn” in New Online Posters

For those living under a rock, the beginning of the end is near for Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga, as Breaking Dawn Part 1 opens in theaters this Friday. The Muppets make their return to the big screen the next Wednesday, so the Disney film has parodied their box office rivals in Twilight-themed posters released on The Muppets Facebook page.
