Since Fall of 2010, Disney California Adventure Park turned its Hollywood Backlot section into ElecTRONica to celebrate the Disney sequel TRON: Legacy. One of the mainstays of the section has been a recreation of Flynn’s Arcade complete with classic arcade games including TRON itself. Now a petition hopes to keep the arcade a permanent fixture of the amusement park. More after the jump.

Our friend Anton has posted some Tron 3 previews in the past on his YouTube channel, and he was recently sent what is supposedly a new one. With the release of TRON: Legacy on Blu-Ray this past week (and the re-release of the original TRON from 1982 on the same day), fans of the cult Disney film-turned-blockbuster-success are jumping in joy to see both these films in HD for the first time. However, newcomers to the Tron franchise might not be as excited due to their lack of knowledge of what it’s about. With that in mind, allow me to compare the two films in detail as a way of explaining why this series is so famous. This article will be divided into three categories: Story, Visuals, and Music, with decisions made as to which of the two films does better in these areas. The Tron: Legacy Blu-Ray (out on April 5th) promises to have several easter eggs, as would be expected from a film with just a vast viral campaign. We’ve already been leaked a ten minute short film titled “The Next Day”, which both fills in the gap between the two Tron films and teases the third. Now we have a short teaser called “The Dillingers’ Chat” from the same source that gives us more clues to the plot of Tron 3.

A few months ago, it was reported that new scenes, possibly even a teaser for ‘TR3N’, would be included with the DVD Extras of TRON: Legacy. At least one of those extras leaked online earlier today. The video is both a continuation and a brief summary of the viral campaign, and hints towards the confirmed third installment of the TRON series. Watch the video after the break.
