“Apollo 18″ Gets Teaser Poster and Possible Viral Video Dan Koelsch, November 24, 2010October 18, 2011 Did you know that there was secret mission to the moon that happened after Apollo 17? Well, that’s the premise of producer Timur Bekmambetov’s Apollo 18, which speculates that the reason it was secret is because we found (presumably violent) aliens. Yesterday brought us not only the first official teaser poster for the found-footage thriller, but also a potential viral video. See them both after the break. Strange – Viral VideoUploaded by dreadcentral. – Check out other Film & TV videos. First of all, I love the premise of this film, and with someone like Bekmambetov (Wanted) on board, you know that no punches will be pulled. The poster exemplifies this perfectly. Now, about that video. It comes from Dread Central, but little other information is known about it. It is not confirmed to be officially affiliated with the film, but as you can tell, it’s creepy as hell. Is that an alien or just a mutilated person? Also, why does it say Apollo 20? We’ll keep tabs and try to find out more. Apollo 18 will be released in theaters on March 4th, 2011 by The Weinstein Company. Gonzalo López directs the screenplay written by Brian Miller on a reported $5 million budget. No cast has been announced, and no trailer has been released, but you can get more information through the film’s official website, Facebook, and Twitter. should have customized the EXIF data on the image file used in the ‘terminal’ website. Also, what camera shoots at 100ppi? They could have geo-tagged it or something.

The patch for Apollo 20 seems to show the Lunar Lander and Command Module lifting an object off of the moon, very odd. It seems like this is gonna be a Blair Witch/Cloverfield type docudrama shaky webcam type film. I think I will be waiting for it to get to Netflix.
This video has been floating around for quite some time now. And pretty much 95% of the ‘conspiracy’ community believe it to be fake. Which isn’t hard to concur with. The module set is pretty good, very believable, as is the space suit worn by the person opposite the camera. But the alien model is EXTREMELY sub-par model work. I work with clay models ALOT and the tell-tale signs of shoddy work are everywhere from the poor blending of edges on the eyes to the bad smoothing which is why it looks like her skin is ‘flaky’. The worst part is the lips. They are among the MOST difficult part of the human anatomy for novice sculptors to do, as well as fingers/toes, and of course eyes. And the way they were done on the model used can be seen in amateur sculptures almost anywhere.
