They really went full on with the viral marketing here! Proof that the medium is alive and well. Indeed, one could simply watch the viral content here for hours, with or without the actual movie! But then, Ryan Reynolds is the lead vocal here and he effectively got DEADPOOL a greenlight via viral marketing so..yep. Makes sense!
STAR WARS: A NEW HOPE’S LIGHT SABRE DUEL, RE-EDITED
Speaks for itself. Respectful yet ambitious insertion to old footage. It goes some way to restoring continuity in fighting styles between sequels /prequels. Yes, Obi-Wan is older than his Clone War days and yes, the original was made in a time of less sophisticated / well financed special effects. But this should, canonically, be peak era Vader, and the decades long grudge rematch should be there onscreen in the fighting style. That’s especially so after Rogue One showed us Darth wiping out an army with his sabre skills and as Obi Wan has aged, gracefully, in the ever expanding onscreen lore between the prequel and original trilogies (see: Rebels and that fight with Darth Maul..etc).
