1: REHIRE DOWNEY! Money is not the issue, here. He’s minted, loaded etc though yeah it’ll be at least 100million to get him back. Throw in a deal to support his charities and smaller movie projects. Make him cameo in EVERY MARVEL PROJECT. Akin to Stan Lee? And maybe a proper IRON MAN 4. Pepper Potts must return, too. No multiverse laziness, either or AI versions.
2: PLAY DIRTY AGAINST DC! If they can poach James Gunn? YOU can hire: Snyder, Affleck, Cavill, Gadot et al. Do it.
3: KEEP THE BIG CASTINGS! Harrison Ford is a massive ‘get’ for Marvel. Well done. But don’t waste him. He is playing an evil version of his Jack Ryan/ AIR FORCE ONE President character. So have him face off against Tony Stark and watch the sparks fly! Same goes for directors. Could SPIELBERG maybe do a Marvel movie? It’s possible. Scorsese less likely but you never know..
4: FOCUS ON CHARACTER AND PLOT: No more political lectures or identity obsession / subversion. People want fun, immersive, escapist storytelling. Give it to them. ‘YOU GOTTA DO BETTER!’. Etc.
5: DON’T NEGLECT ASSETS: You can now have X MEN meeting Fantastic 4, Spider-Man etc. Why are you WAITING SO LONG? Bit odd. That is why Marvel/Disney face decline. They bought stuff they failed to USE. Quite simple. Same goes for actors. Disgraceful underuse of BRIE LARSON! Deploy her better.
